Bartending in Maryland
The Licensee holder or an employee designated by the licensee holder must be alcohol awareness trained in the following counties: Howard, Montgomery, Kent, Washington, and Caroline. Bartender training must be completed in Wicomico county if the licensee does not have a Class C license. Talbot County requires any employee who is involved in the sale of alcohol to be alcohol awareness trained. An alcohol awareness trained employee must be on the premises at all times unless of a personal emergency, which must be recorded in a log book.
